Wow! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this gem-of-an-idea: exchange the clothes in my closet that are in really good {somtimes, um, not even worn — that’s impulse shopping for you} condition with others in the same boat {and size}, ONLINE! But, thredUP got the leg-up on this concept. Makes sense, given that — according to their website — we use only 25% of the clothes in our closet.
Um, I’m 100% guilty of this; sad, considering I have a completely stuffed closet, with tons of clothes in storage and yet I feel like I wear the same outfits every week.
I’d be doing my MS program a huge disservice if I didn’t mention this week was Banned Books Week; which “highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States” (ALA.org).
Crazy to think these great works were at one point, and probably still are somewhere in the nether-regions of the US, banned:
My baby’s growing up so fast! Already celebrating our 1 year anniversary here at Vintage Mint. Can you believe it? Thank you for your patience, kind comments, and visits.
Seems like everyone’s turning the big 2-0-0 this year: Lincoln, Darwin, Mendelssohn… But it looks like Edgar Allan has them all beat for the best commemorative U.S. stamp. I’m no philatelist, but I like these so much I just might order a sheet of these to keep my inner-nerd in check.
Cry, cry, cry. Domino mag {and the website!} will be no more! My little world is crumbling down! Blueprint, Cottage Living, House & Garden, and now Domino…
