Enjoy the new September weekend!

I suppose it’s not right that I now have Halloween on the mind. I know, it’s too early to be talking about such things; but Halloween takes place during my favorite time of the year: Autumn! So I can’t help but think of all the fun crafts, pumpkin-carving, chilly nights, apple cider… So to help me get ready, I’ve signed up for the Martha Stewart “Halloween Workshop“; first project starts Monday!

This girl’s outfit is wonderfully put-together: the wool blazer {similar to this}; the scarf {similar to this}; and the hat {similar to this}! And the glove-over-sweater combo is brilliant! I’m going to  have to find some black 3/4 length leather gloves now…

Can’t believe it’s already time for the weekend — and a 3-day weekend at that! Yay!

I just ordered this magazine in hopes that my husband and I can find interesting/smart ways to afford a “get-away” vacation sometime next year. {I say Paris, my husband says Alaska. I still say Paris.}

I’ve got Fall/Autumn on the mind — and sadly it’s way too early to be thinking about that kind of weather where I live. It will stay hot until mid-October. The trees turn a magnificent red and then *woosh*, a week later no more beautiful auburn leaves! The next 3 months bring in lingering, denser-than-London fog. Wish I could live in a place that experienced Autumn like this… {Maybe Portland? Paris?!}
