More or Less

Sure, you’re not getting the exquisite “painted resin beads” or “Czech glass crystals,” but this $20 version from here is definitely more affordable {and almost passable} than the $150 J.Crew baubles.

Summer Saltwater

Although summer is my least favorite season {if you lived in hot upper 90/low 100 degree weather for a good 5+ months out of the year, you would too…unless you’re a snowbird},  I love how whimsical and fresh Saltwater’s summer line looks.

Simple Gladiators

I kind of thought gladiators were “done” but all the new sandals I’ve seen for spring/summer collections are either variations of the gladiator or the annual wedge /espadrille wedge. At first, I hated the gladiators — I knew they would make visual stumps of my legs. But then I caved and started pining for a pair, only to not find any that I liked. Until now. I think I can handle these pyramid-studded gray beauties — simple yet not expected.

Young + Dapper

Arlo Weiner, son of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner, is one sharp dresser. Oh yeah, and he’s only in 2nd grade. {In 2nd grade I would have thought an “ascot” was a bad word and definitely not something you wore around your neck.} This kid’s got it together {supposedly, even Beck had taken notice}. I’m glad his parents appreciate his creative fashion sense — my parents almost disowned my younger brother when he once wore a velvet maroon blazer to high school.

Sign of the Times

I guess the economy is in bad shape when lux-brand Chanel is selling out being sold at Costco at a super discount. {Well, it is only travel size…}

Fashion Show Dressers

Fashion people in the know, dressed aptly for the Fall 09 NY Fashion Week shows. These are just some of my fave dressers {so far}. {Can you believe it’s already that time of year?}

Hayden-Harnett Bullseye

Has anyone had a chance to check out the new Hayden-Harnett accessories at Target? I already have about 16 umbrellas but this one has a vintage-looking steeple tip and curved handle! Naturally I need to acquire this one to my hoard.  Cannot wait to see this in person…and I might as well take a sneak peak at their handbags while I’m there too….
