Hippie Shake
Due to my misshapen right foot {thank you auto accident, circa last year}, I think I’m going to take the plunge into hippie territory, via the Birkenstock. Too bad they are such a departure from my edgy, fashion-forward shoe collection of yesteryear.
Kidding.
I hear Birks’ are mad-comfortable, with great arch support — all things my right foot now demands in a sandal. And at least Birkos’ don’t look like medicinal, orthopedic correction shoes. I’ve narrowed it down to these beauties:

I have terrible, painful arch problems- and Birkenstocks have saved me! I own a pair of Tahiti sandals (they’re just like the Arizonas, the middle pair) and I love them dearly.
Good luck and keep blogging!

Thanks for the comment/advice, Mindi! The Betula pair that I recently purchased really do help out my arches. My only complaint is the sizing of Birks! (Kinda confusing, well at least to me, Birki-newbie).

Good point- you have to make sure that you get the correct width. Their measuring is a little different. The footprints on the shoe are filled in or open (or half!) to indicate narrow, regular (and medium), respectively. If you can go in to a Birk store, do it! They will fit your feet perfectly and not let you leave until your shoes feel awesome. Sorry to sound like a Birk “dealer”; I’m not. They’ve just changed how I feel about shoes!

Hi, I got those last ones, kairo, in gray and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them. They are super comfy too!

I’ve had no luck finding them in gray! I’ve only seen a lot of metallic and patent ones — which are alright, but I’d rather have a neutral like gray. Thanks for the comment Annabelle!
