Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hope you all enjoy the holiday, spending time with family and eating delicious food. {Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude. -E.P. Powell}
Here’s some T-Day leftover recipe ideas, a la Martha.
When my siblings and I were kids we used to think Snoopy’s Thanksgiving “feast” of popcorn, jelly beans, and toast was hilarious. {We were easily amused I suppose.} Love this classic T-Day movie.
Sorry for the lack of posts this week. Kind of busy around the Vintage Mint factory, aka my job. Ugh, excuses, excuses. Anyway, enjoy the weekend! {Don’t forget to stock up on pumpkin pie! I swear they sell out every year before T-Day.}
I can’t remember which blog first introduced me {months + months ago} to the magnificent cooking blog, The Pioneer Woman Cooks!, but I am forever grateful. And I love Ree’s {or as I like to call her, “PDub”} sense of humor + wit. As well as her very helpful, very plentiful use of photos {hey, part of cooking is visual, so I need/appreciate all the help I can get}. So who better, and perhaps more realistic {sorry Martha}, to refer to for Thanksgiving day meals and planning than her? {Okay, and maybe your mom.}
Bring on the {Scottish tartan} plaids! Love the eccentric mix of plaids this guy is sporting, especially the three-piece suit. Reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis — that man can wear no wrong.

I love the quirky charm of vintage Christmas ornaments. And boy does etsy have tons to choose from! Not only can you use them to decorate your tree, but you can put a couple in a glass apothecary jar or a jadeite compote to add a festive touch to the coffee table, bookshelf, or…okay, basically anywhere there’s a flat surface.
Update: Sigh. Kind of disappointed about what I’ve seen so far of the Alexander McQueen “McQ” line for Target. I hope the rest of the line is less Forever 21 tween…and um, more like Alexander McQueen.
You know it’s Christmas season in America when you see glitter reindeer platters and green + red mint flavored m&ms already rolled out on the shelves at Target, and it’s still a week before Halloween. So me mentioning this upcoming Holiday season 10 days before Thanksgiving Day shows restraint, at least by corporate standards. So without further ado, how cute are these homemade Christmas stockings? Alicia Paulson is offering a PDF of these for free {!}, here. {Potential weekend project!}
This month is going by too quickly! Before I know it, it’ll be Thanksgiving already. {Boooo…} I want to savor this season! The last third of the year always feels so fleeting. Enjoy the weekend anyway!
